CECILE ELEANOR KORNBERGER On Sunday, January 23, 2005, at the Riverview Health Centre, Cecile died at the age of 68 years. Remaining to cherish her memory are her husband Norman, of 47 years of marriage; children, Bryan and Neil (Carmen); grandchildren, Erika and Stefanie; mother Sophia; sister Shirley Wheatcroft (Darryle); sister-in-law Marlene Schwartz (Dennis); as well as numerous relatives and friends. Cecile was predeceased by her father Albert Chaney. Cecile was born on April 27, 1936, in Willowbrook, SK. She graduated from the St. Boniface School of Nursing in 1957. Cecile will be remembered for her simplicity, strength and dedication to family as well as her strong faith and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Rosary was her favourite prayer. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 28 at 10:30 a.m., in St. Vital Roman Catholic Church, 1629 Pembina Hwy. with Rev. Fr. Patrick A. Morand presiding and Rev. Fr. Peter Monty, S.J. concelebrant. The Rosary will begin at 10:00 a.m. For those who wish, viewing will be held during the Rosary and prior to Mass. Our family extends thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Riverview Health Centre 3-E Palliative Care; St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care and Concordia Hospital Oncology.
